Warehousing, Shipping & Receiving

The Stores, Shipping & Receiving team is responsible for providing the shipping, receiving, and storage support to the HELO and NBL Facilities.

Transporting equipment, hardware and materials to NASA, and NASA contractor facilities both on and off site. Maintaining a unique computerized inventory management system that meets the requirements of the NASA Property System.

Perform quarterly and annual inventory and inventory analysis and audit functions in support of the NASA and Customer requirements and reporting as directed.

They are responsible for the warehousing, inventory, packaging, and preservation of approximately 50,000-line items, consisting of 4 million-piece parts, with a dollar value of more than 350 million. The hardware supports both flight and training requirements/needs by the astronauts in support of ISS. They receive, store and issue parts to the production labs as requested by various work authorizing documents. They are certified to ship hazardous material for both flight and ground. They are also responsible for the maintaining the government furnished vehicle fleet used by the shipping and receiving personnel as well as the production lab personnel. They support property audits, work closely with engineering, procurement, planning, quality assurance, production personnel, and both internal and external customers.
