NASA – JSC Safety Panel Engineer (E2/E3)

Responsibilities:
In support of NASA Safety and Mission Assurance (SMA), the successful candidate will perform engineering assessments and analyses on the International Space Station, Commercial Vehicles (manned and unmanned) payloads and experiments flown on International (e.g. Progress or Soyuz) or commercial vehicles (SpaceX, CST-100). These responsibilities will include the identification and quantification of risk, assure compliance with NASA safety requirements, prepare detailed reports and recommendations for mitigation strategies, prepare and present technical presentations and participate in Safety Panel Reviews. In addition, you will review flight documents, operational scenarios, and subsequent changes for safety impact, participate in associated meetings, provide real-time and post-flight engineering support for flight anomaly investigations as well as work with customers - NASA, Space Station contractors, and International Partners.
